Die Zahl der nach Deutschland Geflüchteten ist seit Sommer 2015 sehr stark angestiegen. Städte und Kreise sind herausgefordert. In den nächsten Jahren wird die Nachfrage nach Unterbringung, Schutz und Zugang zu Bildung steigen. Von gleicher Bedeutung sind Lebensbasis, die Teilhabe am lokalen Leben, wie auch die Integration in den Arbeitsmarkt. Diese Aufgaben lassen sich ohne Engagement von Menschen mit Migrationsgeschichte und ohne die Migrantenorganisationen nur schwerlich bewältigen.
